‘Toulouse’ on the Move – Bronze Sculpture

In the depths of the Vermont winter, Richard’s monumental bronze sculpture  Toulouse caught a new eye: the major work has been purchased from the West Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park in Stowe by a private collector in Germany.

Before its trans-Atlantic voyage and final installation in Marburg, Germany, Toulouse traveled to New York where the experts at Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry (now UAP) perfected its bronze surfaces to their most deeply alluring. The team attended to Toulouse with flame and cupric nitrate, enhancing the natural potential of the metal with a richly textured green-hued patina.

Toulouse is one of my all time favorites,” says Richard, “It always pulls you into its curvaceous and friendly grasp — I’m thrilled it will inspire and be loved by its new owners for all of time.”
