Richard Erdman Studios and Galerie d’Orsay is proud to announce that the artist’s latest works — bold forms in vibrant blue granite, Pakistan onyx, and Carrara marble — will be exhibited alongside the canvases of Stanley Boxer and Wolf Kahn, both pioneers in abstract painting and the modernist field. Fresh from the Carrara, Italy studio, these new sculptures command full attention to both form and material, providing a conceptual and physical link between contemporary abstraction and the ancient tradition of stone carving. Alongside Boxer and Kahn, viewers are invited to meditate on the spaces between figuration and feeling, nature and artistic translation, symbol and meaning.
