Passage

Rising 16 feet into the air and spanning 25 feet across, Passage is one of the world’s largest sculptures carved from a single block of stone. Commissioned early in Richard’s career, this monumental work of travertine stands sentinel at the entrance of one of the world’s best-known sculpture parks, the Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens at PepsiCo. There, it joins works by artists such as Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson, and Isamu Noguchi, marking Richard’s place in the legacy of modern sculpture.
