Arete

Arete is a commanding 8-foot tall marble sculpture, intricately carved from a single block of marble. It serves as a striking focal point at the entrance of a distinguished private residence in Indian Wells, California. This notable sculpture is part of a collaborative project with Whipple Russell Architects, whereby Richard was commissioned to produce five unique marble sculptures. The collection, which includes Spira, Arete, Aria, Odyssey, and Aurora, effectively showcases the vast potential of marble as a medium. Collectively, these exquisite artworks enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space, offering a rich and uplifting experience that harmonizes seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment and architectural design. This project stands as a testament to the heights of creativity and artistry.
