Richard Erdman Studios and Melissa Morgan Fine Art are pleased to announce Serenity in Motion, an exhibition of new works by Richard Erdman. Opening April 4 in Palm Desert, California, this show debuts 11 new sculptures carved from Carrara white marble. Engaging with themes that explore the materiality of marble, its relationship with the ocean, and geologic time, this new body of work is rooted in the art historical lineage of Carrara and Pietrasanta, Italy, the ghosts of its quarries, and the intangible qualities of working with an ancient material, continually renewed in these abstract forms.
