Cascata

Cascata is all about the circle and the water; the circle being an almost sacred shape and water the most fundamental substance on the planet. They are both about the continuity and infinity reflected in nature’s rebounding cycle of which we are also a part.

The power of the form is reflected in the interplay of its lines, weight, and delicate balance. This is a play on the Tai Chi, the confluence of opposites where soft intersects with hard; push meets pull; concave mirrors convex. When these activities are joined in a compatible way, it holds our attention and creates the life of the sculpture.
