This vibrant Brazilian blue granite sculpture was gifted by Richard to his alma mater, the University of Vermont. Richard considers Arete Blu to be an enduring symbol of his time at the university, a place, he says, “where individualism and risk-taking were encouraged, where education was not just an assimilation of facts, but the training of the mind to think and to dream.”
